“it was brought to my attention that it was also affecting people I cared about.”

In the recent years, I felt more and more compelled to align myself with whatever surfaced out of my deeper self. I feel happier, more accomplished, and more whole. It is revitalizing, as if I am sustaining my own engine. And gratitude deepens that understanding.

But this is clashing with some of my friends, who prefer to hold on to their idea of me. The choices that I have made actually affect people I care about. But I cannot go back. Out of self-respect, I feel an obligation towards myself to stay true to my energetic boundaries. Even if that means losing friends.

Thank you for writing this thoughtful piece!
